What can you expect of a JEWISH COMIC CON?
So many things! To be honest, while preparing the show, we've been scratching our heads: how can we do? So many themes. So many characters. So many different types of comics. And, most of all, the creators. We'll be paying homage to the founders of the comic book industry as most of them were Jews. The new generations will be represented too! And, of course, there's always room for non-Jewish creators who have worked on anything Jewish related in their lives.
Through different panels, we'll try to browse as many topics as possible. With incredible guests too. Prepare yourself to be surprised!
2018 PROGRAMMING IS HERE!
8:00 AM - MORNING SERVICE -- What do you do when you organize a comic book convention in a synagogue ? You start the day with the Sha’haris morning service led by Rabbi Reinstein. Open to everyone, whether you have a pass or not. A light breakfast will be served after the service.
9:00 AM – 9:55 AM - COLLECTORS ON THE MIC' -- Collectors Dr Martin Brody and Michael Lustig will be discussing their passions in collecting comics. Both have dedicated and recognized collections in particular to Jewish themed and Holocaust related collections
10:00 AM – 10:55 AM - REPRESENTATION IN COMICS -- Representation matters more than ever in comics these days. And what better place than Jewish Comic Con to highlight what it means for our medium and how it was not designed to be a place where representation was a thing to begin with! Panelists include: Fabrice Sapolsky (Intertwined), Ray Felix (Bronx Heroes Comics), Isaac Goodhart (Postal) , Kwanza Osajyefo (Black). More guests to be announced. Moderated by: Danny Fingeroth and Arie Kaplan.

With Danny Fingeroth (who's working on a Stan Lee biography), Arie Kaplan and Dean Haspiel (The Red Hook).
3:00 PM – 3:55 PM - SUPERMAN AT 80 -- He was the first superhero of modern era. He turns 80 years old this year. Superman is a hero unlike any other. Why is he still relevant today?
